Scientifically is there a cure for the homosexuality?

I am talking with a psychologist from another country, I am latino and he is peruvian and he insisted me he doesn't believe in God but the homosexuality is rarely cured and he sent me links from religious associations and a video from a doctor who says the homosexuality is possible to cure if the patient wants, I am gay and I don't know really if there is a cure for it, I don't speak with my mother anymore about the topic even in the beginning was hard and she asked me to speak with God and take me to psychologists and they told me nobody born gays and someone made me gay or the environment because I grew up with women or school or any bad thing happened to me.
