Question about peruvian guinea pigs!!?

hello i wanted to know were in CT can you buy a peruvian guinea pig? i live in meriden i am Willing to drive as far as to hamden CT. I also wanted to know are there any breeders in meriden CT that i can get one from? that would probably be a better than buyong one from a pet store! i also would like to know about how to care for a peruvian guinea pig if it is any different than i regular american guinea pig? thanks help is appreiciated!!!!
